there is a remarkable photo in the weekly telegraph this week..
in a kind of obit to Robin Cook - the former Brit FM - they featured him speaking to the Commons. He is standing in front of his desk (or lectern). To his right (our left as you look at the paper) is John Prescott, the deputy PM. JP is one-eye open status, with an utterly bored expression on his face.
To his left(our right) is the Chancellor of the Exchequer Brown who appears to be asleep.
Cripes it - this photo - does tell a rather bad tale of what public servants are up to, and regardless whether observed or not!
Below is my favorite pix of the week. It is "Apollo" on Mt. Parnassus, which was the famed home of the Muses. It was done in ink and sepia washes, an innovation in its day. Artist: Poussin whose 'angles' and artefact placements have aroused much interest and debate in recent times..
I hope you like..
